Piloting in Berlin — Mitte & Kreuzberg

Real dates, not chats.

Every post here is a finished plan — a bar or restaurant near you, a slot tonight, and who picks up the bill. Say yes and you're going out. No three-week text marathon.

The plan is already on the table. You either go or you don't.

1
match per date

The host reads the responses and picks one person. No inbox roulette.

2
taps to say yes

Open a card, tap I'm in. The rest of the evening is dinner.

The shift

Matches don't feed anyone. Dinner does.

Classic dating apps sell you a profile and leave you to negotiate reality on your own. We start from reality — the venue, the slot, the bill — and let people opt into it.

Dating apps today
1 Swipe for an hour
2 Match with twelve people
3 Text for three weeks
4 “we should grab a drink sometime”
· and the plan never happens

Every step is a new chance to lose momentum. The app optimises for time spent inside it, not for the two of you being somewhere at 20:30.

1 Bar picked, table at 20:30, bill 50/50
2 Someone nearby taps “I'm in”
3 You pick one person — chat opens
You're out tonight

Place, time and terms are agreed before anyone writes a word. That's the whole trick — the awkward negotiation is the thing we deleted.

How it works

Two ways in.
One evening out.

There is no host role and no guest role locked to a gender. Any profile can put a date on the map, and any profile can say yes to one.

I'm hosting

You put the evening on the map

  1. Pick the place Any bar or restaurant around you, straight off the map — not a short list of partners. Booking the table stays with you (a call or the venue's own site); the app keeps the plan.
  2. Set the terms Date and slot, number of guests, and the bill: 100% on you or split 50/50. Then who you're inviting — gender and age range, plus a line about the evening if you feel like it.
  3. Choose who comes Responses arrive with photo, name and age. Open a profile, pick one person — the chat unlocks. Everyone else gets a polite “the host chose someone else”.

I'm going

You take an evening that already exists

  1. Browse tonight A feed of real plans near you, sorted by distance and how soon the slot is. Filter by venue type, time, distance, the host's age and who's paying.
  2. Tap “I'm in” One tap on a plan you actually want. Nothing to write, no icebreaker to invent — the invitation already says what the evening is.
  3. Match, then show up The host picks you, the chat opens, and a reminder lands two hours before the slot. After the evening you both confirm the other actually turned up.

A slot in the past can never be published, and an invite can be cancelled any time before the slot — everyone who responded is told right away.

Built for the meeting

Everything points
at one table

No feature exists to keep you scrolling. Each one removes a reason for tonight not to happen.

Real venues, straight from the map

Bars and restaurants come from public map data, so any place near you can host a date from day one — no partner list to wait for. Call the venue or open it in Maps in one tap.

The bill, decided upfront

100% on the host or a clean 50/50 — printed on the card before anyone says yes. Nobody negotiates at the table.

Verified humans only

A selfie check at signup, reports on any profile, and an automatic filter on offensive text.

Show-up reputation

Both sides confirm the other turned up. Ghosting a table costs you the right to host.

Filters built the way people actually go out

Not “interests” and “zodiac”. Date, time of day, venue, distance, who you're looking for and who's paying — the things that decide whether an evening happens.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks

Does the app book the table for me?

Not in the first version. Booking stays with the host — a phone call or the venue's own site, one tap from the venue card. The app holds the plan, the match, the chat and the reminders; table integrations come later.

Who can create a date?

Anyone. There is no “inviter” and “invited” split by gender: every profile can publish invites and respond to other people's. Women, men and non-binary people use exactly the same flow.

How do you keep fakes and bots out?

Selfie photo verification at signup, at least two photos on every profile, reports on profiles and content, an automatic filter on offensive text, and human moderation on top. Repeated no-shows lose the ability to host dates.

Do I pay for anything inside the app?

Only the optional Premium subscription. The bill itself is settled at the venue as usual — the invite only states whether the host covers 100% or you split 50/50. No in-app payments for food and drinks.

Where does the venue list come from?

Public map data — bars and restaurants with their address, photos and opening hours where available. Nothing has to be onboarded first, so on day one you can invite someone to the place around the corner.

Which cities, and when?

One pilot district first — Berlin, Mitte & Kreuzberg — so that the feed is dense enough to have real plans in it every night. The waitlist decides what opens next: leave your city and it gets counted.
